From the time I began a career in the energy industry, I have searched for a website that synthesizes news and analysis on the topics that fascinate me: energy policy, tech, climate change and sustainability. Everyone seems to agree that these issues will shape the future of humanity. While there are excellent journalists and think tanks out there that regularly publish on specific topics, I have yet to find a reliable, consistent way to keep abreast of general energy-related developments. That’s why I created Carbon Chronicle.
A little about me: after relocating from the US to Germany, I graduated with from the University of Cologne with a master’s in economics, writing my thesis on data management in smart grids at the Institute of Energy Economics. Since graduating, I have spent several years working in management consulting for clients across the energy supply chain: generators, network operators, retailers, traders, you name it. The more experience I gain, the more I realize how much I have to learn.
The goal of this blog is to be your go-to source for energy news, policy, politics, and opinion. Hopefully, we can learn a thing or two along the way. Thanks for reading, and welcome.
